My guess would be, that stones now evolved into guns, no need for stoning anymore. After all, bronze age behavior should be complete gone by now, but I'm sure fundies would love to get a stone in their hands and go at it, if there is a chance....
I know the Christian bible says thou shalt not murder...but it also advocates the stoning of people for certain purposes.
So, why don't we stone anymore?
If Christian people who are so strong in their faith don't follow everything in the bible, why follow it at all?
It also says if your left hand commits adultery, cut it and throw it into the fire for it's better to enter into heaven with one hand.
So every one of us should amputate ourselves? You wanna turn all christians into radical islamists? that's what they do with the literal Islam, say stopping girls from going to school, still, in 2009 AD.
You gotta differentiate between rhetoric and the semantics involved.
This looks like another thread where the Brigade will agglomerate
It's true that Christians don't stone people do death these days but the Muslims sure do. There's always some new story about somebody being stoned to death for adultery or whatever the offense might be.
I agree but getting the electric chair or being hung by the neck until you're dead doesn't sound like a day at the beach either and we do that all the time in America.
once stoned, always ... (you're not short of repeated variations yet, are you?)
