THe Southern Baptist Theology Seminary stands firm on Bible inerrancy. They even once held a conference to address the issue, and great leaders like Norman Geisler signed a document supporting it.

Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy - Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

Are you telling me that every graduate doesn't understand the Bible?
Of course not. I'm saying every graduate who honestly believes the notion of inerrancy does not know the Bible well enough to participate in biblical scholarship. They may know it well enough to theologies and sermonize, but that's quite different from actual biblical scholarship.

He is a graduate of Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama, having received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975. He received his Master of Divinity degree and Doctor of Ministry degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. His doctoral emphasis was on evangelism and church growth. He received post-doctoral training at Cambridge University, Cambridge, England.

I think it's safe to say Bro. Dykes knows the Bible.
He knows a certain perspective on the Bible, no doubt, but if he accepts inerrancy then much of what he understands about its history and original meaning is demonstrably in error. For instance, ask him if Elhanan or David killed Goliath. If he tells you Elhanan killed Goliath's brother, then we know he does not know the scholarship or the relevant textual and literary dynamics.

The bible was inspired by powerful men with a need to keep order. The Christian Bible is nothing more than Constantine's new Roman "constitution".
