I don't know if anyone is still keeping up with ParkerU.org, but they are on a roadtrip and Jamie has given some wonderful updates. Please pray for their safety.

Default Pearl Harbor Day December 7, 1941

At 8:00 A.M. on Dec. 7, 1941, on the island of O'ahu Hawaii, the Japanese Imperial Navy sent 353 Japanese aircrafts to bomb Pearl Harbor. Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto planned this surprise attack. The 353 Japanese planes were led by Commander Mitsuo Fuchida. About 100 American ships lay at harbor. These included Battleships, Destroyers, and Cruisers.
A hurried dispatch from the ranking United States naval officer in Pearl Harbor, Commander in Chief of the Pacific, to all major navy commands and fleet units provided the first official word of the attack at the ill-prepared Pearl Harbor base. It said simply: AIR RAID ON PEARL HARBOR X THIS IS NOT DRILL. More than half of the U.S. Pacific fleet was out to sea, including carriers. 188 Army Corps aricraft including bombers and fighters, and attack bombers were destroyed or damaged on the ground. Only a few fighters made it into the air to fight the Japanese. 29 total Japanese aircraft were shot down by ground pilots and U.S. pilots.

Dear Lord, I pray for the few men and women still living who remember this war..I pray for the ones who fought wars after that one and never came home or are still carrying the scars..I pray dear God for the time to come when you promise no more wars, no more pain or suffering..God Bless us all...In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray...Amen

For all of those who have given up hope;
and the thousands that have been abused and are still be abused by their parents or caregivers..
The media and Hollywood, to stop degrading women by porno type material and gratifying homosexuality and gangsters and drugs and all the other mindless trash and violence/ anorexia, that they are pushing in the faces of our youth, The online predators and pedophiles.
For us not to grow weary in well doing...

Or in our attempts to assist and to help heal all of the above. To assist in restoring hope.

Default Prayer request....

I would like to ask prayer for one of the families whose son was killed in the same accident a few years ago with my son. I spoke to the mom last night and they are going through a really difficult time health-wise and financially. They have really had a lot of bad things happen to them besides even losing their son. The husband is unable to work because of heart problems right now and she has just been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. They desperately need to sell their house. Please join me in praying that the tide will turn for this family, financially and health-wise and that they can have restored peace and hope. (Since this is a public forum, I would prefer not to mention their names specifically.)

Thanks and blessings-
kaykay
