Hello sweet sisters & brothers!

We did get back from 'vacation' -- the Blue Ridge Mtns. were beautiful but we had mechanical problems and, well, let's just say it wasn't a perfect vacation. But, thankfully, we did get home safely.

Since then, seems one thing after another keeps happening. I don't want to come on here with just one bad thing after another...sometimes even wondering why my faith seems to wane when some things are just out of my hands.

Then I got sick and spent my birthday yesterday in the dr. office. Nothing a few antibiotics and other things won't take care of...

I did have a wonderful birthday get-together with my girls and their families at Olive Garden Saturday night. Those waiters earned every penny of their gratuity!

Then I come back to the website and blessed blue62 had sent me a pm...so I want all of you to know I really have thought of you and keep you in my heart. I see some of these other prayer requests on here and they make my problems seem so much less.

But while all you faithfuls are continuing in prayer for all the new requests, please keep my son and his family in your prayers. They're in a horrible financial bind with so much construction work coming to a halt in Florida. He went without a job for several weeks, now they have to move, and he just started a new job. Truthfully, it's those grandchildren I cry over...

Thank you for your thoughts and remembering me -- and please continue to remember me in your prayers!

Nana

Default Nothing specific...

Welcome back, Nana!

Just letting everyone know I will/am continuing to pray for these requests and also wanted to post some general praises/prayers that I learned at church and repeat to myself in unhappy/stressful times. (Some of you will recognize them):

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be; World without end ~
Amen, Amen

Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heavenly host
Praise Father, Son & Holy Ghost.

Nana
I'm so happy to hear from you! Glad to see you are BACK!
I will be praying for the issues you mentioned. He is always faithful!
Here's a little something someone sent me in my email this morning...A couple of parts might raise an eyebrow or two, but I thought the meaning was nice and has some words for us to remember!

This should probably be taped
to your bathroom mirror
where one could read it every day.
You may not realize it,
but it's 100% true.

1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.

2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.

3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to
be just like you.

4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.

5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.

6. You mean the world to someone.

7. You are special and unique.

8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.

10 When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look.

11 Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

And always remember....
when life hands you Lemons,
ask for Tequila and Salt and call me over! (Ok, this was the eyebrow raiser )

Good friends are like stars.......
You don't always see them,
But you know they are always there.

"Whenever God Closes One Door He Always Opens Another, Even though
Sometimes It's Hell in the Hallway"

I would rather have one rose and a kind word
from a friend while I'm here than a whole truck load when I'm gone.

Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keeps You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only God keeps You Going

Good afternoon everyone. Can you please send a small prayer up for my friends and the citizens of the city in Illinois we just moved from. The city (where our house is sitting empty and for sale) has received a tremendous amount of rain over the last week and many of the streets are flooding and the river that runs through town is now flooding also. I was just looking at pictures from the local newspaper and there is an extensive amount of damage throughout the town. I've talked to several of our friends there and most people we know with basements had damage, many people without basements have flooding also. We've had friends check on our house and it hasn't been damaged, but I ask that you pray for everyone else who is there with damage and who are trying to deal with the clean up of the flooding. Thank you!

Consider it done Taylor! I know they have been having a heck of a time back there. Here I am in the desert where we PRAY for rain, and get VERY LITTLE, while in other parts of the country people are getting flooded.

I will keep them in my prayers!

Hello!!
Everyone is in our prayers according Mark:11
Your prayer is not small Nana, nowadays a lot of need to pray for this.
My requests are for the persecution of Christians all the World esp. those
in Persia, and other Christians that have converted. The western world Christians, and in general for us to avoid the subtle snares and traps of the
"evil one" and that our faith may not fail in these somewhat perilous times.

Please know that I am lifting everyone up in prayer. I have been keeping up with prayer requests and adding them to my prayers.

Tommorrow is the 2nd anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, and I ask you to take time out to offer up a prayer for those who were devestated from this monster of a storm. I've been to the Gulf Coast 4 times this year, and yes, there is progress in Biloxi and Gulfport, mainly because of casino activity and rebuilding. But, in other lesser known towns such as Waveland and Pass Christian, and which were wiped off the map, there is much slower progress even though many are trying to still pick up the pieces and rebuild. As late as last month, there were still insurance companies just settleling with people from that storm. Many cannot afford to rebuild and have moved away from the coastal area they once lived.

thank you my brothers and sisters
