That does it!!! My attack of the munchies has now officially taken over!
June is heading over to "The Heavenly Hunger Hut," pronto!!!!
Oh man! My wife and I just got home, so I thought I'd check out the forum before a light snack of sourdough pretzels and soy milk.
Now you've got me eating raw chocolate chip cookie dough!!
Anything that impares or otherwise changes a person's brain function can't be approved of by God.
In that case God should not allow us to feel pain, because people in agony (like during a torture) do not seem to think straight.
They will do anything to make the pain stop.
Interesting story, ruralgal! I imagine that did get their attention! That's why I said initially that there's really no point in arguing the merits of it past the point that... it's illegal!
Except for the fact that it IS legal for some people... not to mention, the current laws should be changed, IMO. So yes, there is a point in arguing about it!
Are you serious? If you smoke cigarettes, you seriously pollute your lungs. I know, I do it.
If you smoke a joint, it is like smoking at least 20 cigarettes.
It is amazing what potheads will rationalize. It is a horrible addiction.
Yeah, but how many joints a day/week do people smoke, versus the number of cigarettes (usually 20+ for an average smoker)? Plus there are other ways to ingest it that are better for your lungs - water pipes, vaporizers, edibles, etc. I very rarely smoke joints, so your point is irrelevant to me. And no, it is not a horrible addiction... trust me, I've been addicted to terrible substances, and pot is not one of them. This isn't rationalizing, it's the truth from someone who's been there done that.
I a evengelical christian, not a whako though, I find nothing wrong with enjoying the herb that god put on earth. It says nothing in the bible about it. What do you think?
Since you obviously disagree by asking that question, where does it mention marijuana in the Bible?
Since marijuana = cannabis:
Genesis 1:11 "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so."
Genesis 3:18 "... thou shalt eat the herb of the field."
Proverbs 15:17 "Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith."[1]
Psalms 104:14 "He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man."
According to Rastafarian and other scholars, the etymology of the word "cannabis" and similar terms in all the languages of the Near East may be traced to the Hebrew qaneh bosm קנה-בשם that is one of the herbs God commands Moses to include in his preparation of sacred anointing perfume in Exodus 30:23; the Hebrew term also appears in Isaiah 43:24; Jeremiah 6:20; Ezekiel 27:19; and Song of Songs 4:14. Deuterocanonical and canonical references to the patriarchs Adam, Noah, Abraham and Moses "burning incense before the Lord"

I know...It's called a vicarious high...
Last night I opened my refridgerator door, picked it up, tipped it over and simply inhaled all it's contents...
I'm actually surprised no one thought that God made the marijuana plant for a purpose.....
