Livermush is fantastic. It doesn't taste like liver. BLAH!

But yes, with grits it's great. I've even fried it to a pretty crisp state and put it on a tomatoe('mater) sandwich.

It's really good. I promise

ILNC, find you some and try it, if you don't like it, let me know and I'll pay for your breakfast!

Hey, are you downing liver??!! Gimme some liver'n'onions! You gotta fix it right, tho.. not too tough, not too soft, not too strong, and lotsa ketchup!
I like mush, but I'm not sure the mush I've had is the same as livermush. Is it cornmeal based?
And noland, I printed off your recipe.. one question tho.. what are you supposed to do after the pickles are on the towel? Bake them?

CG81,you can use paper towels or a paper bag,the purpose here is to drain the grease. Then the Fried Pickles are ready to eat.

OK.. I thot that maybe after dipping them in the flour you would have to do something to them?? So frying the pickles before dipping them in flour takes care of the "breading" of the flour? Just kinda confused..

Again: WHOA!

Again: As much as June celebrates the fact that we come to the Heavenly Hunger Hut from all over the country, enjoying our local, native "delicasies" (sp?) I have to draw the line at this one!!!!

Alpha: Say it isn't so!!!

For what it's worth, (and June means NO disrespect here!) I would have to, I repeat, have to say "grace" prior to eating livermush.

Love,
-Chowder-Only-June
