You must not be familiar with the postings of jimmiej. That is his only response he will give to that question.

I don't know if jimmiej has been to seminary, but I believe they are being taught how to avoid questions there because I just had a similar experience with a pastor who went to seminary.

And to save time, simply repeating your error would not be an acceptable response. You would need to prove that an eternal universe is an impossibility. Are you able to do that? If not, you must allow for the possibility.

Fun with atheists. No one wants to debate, but ridicule and belittling is the OM. Along with comic book language. No one speaks like you guys do in real life.

So then the problem isn't the inability of jimmiej to answer politely worded questions, the problem is that just asking such questions constitutes "belittling" jimmiej?

Either an all-knowing creator came from nothing or else after being around for an eternity, he decides to create things to worship him and leaves a poorly organized book for us to avoid being tortured forever. You were saying something about a logical answer?

Default Not an equal fight.

Re: absolute "there's no other option" conclusions:

Not to mention, to the utter frustration of these types, that it's not an equal option, equal randomness debating question, now is it, Mr5150? or jimmiej?

1) We can show, categorically, that the fossils are hundreds of millions of years old. The gospel alternative is the easily disproven idea that they've only been around for 2500 years, all since an impossible fludd.

2) As to that fludd, we can also show it didn't happen one afternoon. And couldn't have possibly inundated the entire globe. And certainly everything did not arise pre-fludd from the famous "nothing" into all the perfectly formed-up organisms!

3) What do you say about the easily counted sedimentary varves that so effectively debunk that ill-thought-out idea. Again, not an equal point to debate. The"evidence" for the claimed Instant Fludd has been thoroughly debunked time and again.

4) The growing preponderance of exquisitely linked DNA genome maps between species clearly shows their hereditary linkage through direct observation, physical evidence (fossils, location in the same ecosystems, the findings of earlier variants at lower depths in the geo-structure, and the other biochemical factors we can now investigate.) Versus a hand-waving Creationist event?

And so on.

Again, this can no longer resolve into a 50:50 argument, not by a long shot! It's far more like valid evidence = 98++ fact and "discoverable", versus the typical Christian fantasy fabrication = < 0.5% but v. shaky ideas...) the remaining being uncategorized so far.

So, in a rational debate, the lesser of these two sides will lose.
