Technically I consider myself a deist though no longer a Christian. It is more the people in my inner circle like my mom and best friend im hesitant to tell since all of them are unfortunately hard committed Christians. The day will come, I don't know when.

Your story is very common among a lot of people that frequent these boards. They have no outlet for their views on religion, so they seek out religious message boards so they can tell us all about how wrong we are.

That isn't a fair comment. Would you say the same thing for someone afraid to come out as gay because they know what the reaction would be from their friends and family?

You're equating religious belief to the preference for gay sex?
