First of all, the Bible never says that God "made a mistake and that Christians were the real chosen ones". Jewish people can still be saved by embracing the Messiah (Christ).
Having said that, many atheists are very nice, loving people. But I do agree that without a standard of right and wrong that is bigger than the person, we have no way of truly judging who is good and moral. If it were up to what society thought about an issue, then Hitler could conceivably been considered a good and moral man.
Is it moral to pay someone a dollar a day to make something that someone in another country would get paid $12 to do?

How do you determine what is right and wrong? Suppose I wanted to rape, pillage, and murder. Is that wrong?
As an atheist, I know that I will not be punished for all eternity if I rape, pillage, and murder. I guess I can do it as much as I want.
Come to think of it, I do do it as much as I want, which is never.
Do you really need the threat of eternal punishment or the promise of eternal reward to keep you from raping, pillaging, and murdering? And you think we're the immoral ones?
