Vatican comes under sharp criticism for sex abuse

Critics allege the church enabled the rape of thousands of children by
encouraging a culture of cover-up to defend its reputation.

I don't read the news much. Is the Catholic Church known for sexual misconduct or something?

I just don't see how forcing a bunch of men to be celibate, and then forcing them into close contact with young boys who sing like angels could ever lead to sexual misconduct.

It has been in the news world wide for a long time.

Well there are a lot of them (Catholic Preists ) that pray like vultures
on little boys who are afraid to say anything.

It's rape of children ! ! !

It has been going on for many, many, many, years and the Catholic Church
knew it all of the time and covered it up and still do ! ! !

If it was going on in the Protestant churches they would be in prison.

It's rape of children ! ! !

Personally, I am glad to see the Catholic church being put under pressure to deal effectively with the pedophile priests and nuns.

The new Pope tries to show love for everyone, including Atheists, and he is popular - so far. However, if he really is interested in justice, he will have to demonstrate it by removing some of the pedophiles from contact with people.
