Then you're missing some interesting perspectives.

But I suspect a few of us will butt into the thread with our thoughts, despite the lack of an invite.

Believe in god; maybe a serious brain injury or brain tumor might have the effect, or not. And then it might not be your god, or one that anyone has ever heard about.

I believe I may be an unusual subject....from talking to some people, I mean.
I have experienced so many transcendental, mind blowing altered states....
I couldn't deny the Divine Presence, the Creator if I tried!!!

So it would be like me trying to deny the sky is blue.

Nothing will, could, or would ever make me stop believing in God. God is literally apart of my soul. I have of piece of him (the holy spirit) living within me. And he has a piece of my soul seated in Heaven. I don't care what anyone says or thinks. I'm going to Heaven no matter what.

Yes, wouldn't it be freeing to not be stunted in concepts and names and labels and
be open to all angles that this Being can be viewed and experienced from?

You have the bottom left side, the upper Northwest side, the mirror image,
the "inside the balloon expanding' view, the being united/one with view...the aerial view,
the timeless, eternal now view...the rearview morror view....oh what fun ...then
the holographic view....where every atom in everything reflects the whole...like
cloning...no ups, no downs, no big, no small, no far, no closer....ahhh...I love my Divine Creator...
the source of Brilliance and Genius....the creator of Science.

Actually the sky is not blue. It has no color.

When sunlight passes through our atmosphere, all of the other wave lengths are filtered out, so all we see is the blue light.

I'm going to Heaven no matter what.
If I may say, first thought...aww,
too bad he is going 'to it'...
and not 'in it' already.
And one reason Christianity, as taught, is a darn hindrance to
soul growth.
(Heaven being something attained after death, instead of realized
now within one's self....now...here.)

And yet the heart is still so sweet.

Good question, with very simple answer:

If there was any naturally occurring phenomenon which was not explainable scientifically.

In other words, God would need to be required in the universe in the first place for me to believe in God.

Ah-ha, this is the EXACT example I give about my ex!!!!
Too funny!!!

"You could say the sky is blue and he will say, Well no, not exactly."

It is such a contrarian mind set!!!

Thank you for the belly laugh...it was too predictable!
No matter what I say, you guys will find a way to refute it....it is
astonishing to watch.

Knock yourself out, it does not bother me in the least...It's like being entertained
by a doggy chasing its tail...darned cute.

Funny thread, let's see.

What would make me believe in God........................well, first the obvious, there would have to be the God around and then depending on what it wanted me to believe about it like say his existence would already be covered because, duh, it's standing in front of me.

Magic spells would have to occur within eye sight like water walking, food out of thin air and such.

Then maybe an angel or two to show that were we were going was actually an already done deal and not like those properties you think you're renting for vaca just to end up spending your vacation in the parking lot of Jimmy's hardware minus your 1500 dollar deposit.

That kind of stuff.
