There is no tithing law, now--those who seek it are these-2Cor 11:12-15) teachers of darkness. RUN AWAY.

Doesn't one think it might be a sacralidge to use the Messiahs name as their handle?
Wow, great answer and reference. I've always wondered about tithing myself. Thanks' for the scripture references. Some of these Pastors are turning the church into casinos by making you pay for a blessing. All their doing is pimping the members out of their money. Sad!

Yes I agree--they are ear ticklers, telling workers of iniquity--you are saved or born again--they have 0 clue in reality--just theory of words.

You are not an Antichrist, for sure.

No offense, but the fact that you posted this on the general Religion and Spirituality as opposed to the Christianity forum, tells me you have your mind made up about this situation. Maybe it was a mistake. With that said, I think you know what you need to do, but I would honestly be careful as to whose advice you take on here. There are a lot of people on here who are pretending to be supportive, but they are only supporting you because they see this as a slight against Christianity.

Thanks. I understand what you are saying. I am picking up the right grains to feed myself without neglecting the core vision of mercy and grace.

That's good. I have been through a few rough church experiences myself, but it's important to not let your adversary use that as a weapon against you. As people we are all flawed individuals, but we can rest in knowing that Christ is unchanging and is a solid rock. Your relationship with him, will help your through these times.

Actually a lot of us have seen these shyster clergymen before. No "pretending" to be supportive.

You're learning the first lesson about religions:

Lesson No. 1 it's ALL about the money ($$$$$'s)

Lesson No. 2 it's all about the power

Lesson No 3 it's all about the privilege

Lesson No 4 it has nothing to do with saving souls

My teachers, do not get paid--nor is a plate passed around. It is done out of love for Jehovah, Jesus and our fellow man.
