This young man won't serve any jail time, maybe community service and maybe a protective order not to come within a 100 feet of a spiritual statue.

Guess what the above in red require? I'll give you three guesses. It rhymes with subliminal prostitution.
It certainly wouldn't come from his parents at home.
You do know we can see the past stuff you post. When you change your tune it's easy to call you on your BS.
And on what objective basis did you determine that declaration?
What I see as "sick" is the determination that the young man will be subjected to being raped, etc. We don't know...he might not object to lots of homosex in juvi detention. Based on his actions...he just might like it...a lot.

I think Trout has a pretty solid basis to make that declaration considering you just reinforced it for him.

Something may have already been done and yet here we are. You seem to think there is a way to prevent this from happening IF ONLY the parent's did something. There isn't. Technology is passed that. ANYONE can take a photo of YOU and post it online and there is nothing you can do to stop it. As far as we know he was punished by his family, so this whole subject is fail IMO. NOTHING need be done on a public level because it's impossible.
The only thing we can do is stop being so effing offended and making huge deals out of everything.

Oh, your acting so, very, well, errr... CHRISTIAN!!!!
No wonder your number of adherents is falling with that kind of attitude. Unbelievable.
I find it interesting that many posters are up in arms about Christians being intollerant, this kids 1st Ammendment rights, and the need for toleration of this kid being stupid and crass (and even as a practicing Christian, I agree with the concerns and likely harsh punishment for a kid being stupid and acting innapropriately), but if this kid drew a cartoon of Mohamed (or simulated a lewd act at a mosque, etc.), it would be the kid under attack for his lack of tolerance for diversity/some one's deeply held religious beliefs - and he quite possibly could be killed for his actions (nope, not hyperbole, it has happened often enough now that it is a legit possibility).
Just something to consider...
