Idolizing statues.

Lack of Forgiveness.

Light hearted acceptance of sodomizing young teen boys.

There are a lot of interesting "Christian" attitudes being expressed in this thread.

Who is suggesting that those attitudes are "Chrisitan"?

allenk. At least, he claims to be Christian and doesn't appear to mind the idea of that young lad being sodomized in jail.

This young man won't serve any jail time, maybe community service and maybe a protective order not to come within a 100 feet of a spiritual statue.

On what basis could a court issue such an order that didn't violate the 1st Amendment?

The kid is being charged with the Desecration of a Venerated Object, which is defined as “Defacing, damaging, polluting or otherwise, physically mistreating in a way that the actor knows will outrage the sensibilities of persons likely to observe or discover the action.”

Number one I don't see how this kid's act falls under that statute. Do you want the courts to open this can of worms because we'll have cases coming of of the woodwork. Our courts are full of frivolous lawsuits as it is. We don't need tax dollars wasted on this kind of BS.

What is this country coming to? I suppose these same people threatening to throw this kid in jail would be screaming for all to hear if these were Muslims trying to throw people in prison for blasphemy against their religion. Sharia law and all that stuff they constantly complain about...

This country would be so much better off without all of these religious Nazis trying to control what everyone else thinks or does. It's an inanimate statue for god's sake...What will they do next, persecute people for using their lord's name in vain? This is the hypocritical and slippery slope these Christians are trying to take this country down...

I suppose the next thing they will do is try to get a bill passed providing "personhood" and rights to religious idols, along with corporations.

I hope the backlash against this moronic prosecutor is long and loud.
