Did Not The Revelations Predict That These Would Be The Last Days Or Are They? (Jerusalem, Israel)

I'm not a biblical scholar by any means but didn't the revelations predict these would be the last days.

Specifically The rebirth of Israel would be a major sign... Well its been almost 70 years now since the rebirth of Israel and nothing...Don't get me wrong i'm not hoping for the end of the world. However, either the predictions in the revelations are false or are they being interpreted incorrectly.

People have been seeing the signs of Apocalypse ever since the book of Revelations was written, a few recent examples:

About 70 years after the birth of Jesus came the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem.
70 years after the rebirth of Israel is 2018......with all the crazy events taking place these days....hmmm.
