I don't refuse to understand. I want to "get it."

Specifically, I want to know why religious folks are paying the same insurance premiums as everyone else, even though religious folks must have a lower rate of illness, accident, and untimely death due to God's divine intervention.

Why is no one upset at this obvious injustice?
Because "he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."

Why don't Atheist pay higher for the insurance ?

Once Atheists get charged twice as much as the believers, you will see two things happen.

1 - Believers will look to pay less than the Atheists.
2 - A lot of Atheists will become believers.

The spiritual path does not promise earthly happiness, or the lack of painful experiences, but it helps you to deal better with them, from a perspective of love and understanding. We all carry a cross, and sometimes the more evolved people are, their challanges are stronger and the sacrifices requiered are greater. When the service is fulfilled or they are needed somewhere else, they too have to go in a way or another.

A little piece of historical trivia for you. The vertical beam was permanently mounted in the ground. The condemned carried just the cross piece, which was pretty similar to a 6' 2x6, which a lot of people carry up to the checkout at HD under one arm. The cross piece was lashed to the vertical beam. That image of struggling up a hill dragging a cross? Never happened.

Thx. Maybe those were indeed the physical dimensions of the cross he carried up Golgotha. Spiritually he was carrying all our crosses though and he still does.

I don't have insurances. I just get to pay the insurances for being forced by the circumstances, such as the Taiwanese National Health Insurance, the Forced-on Nationals Retirement Funds Investment, the Forced-on Automobile ....... and when I got drawn into the military draft, I wanted the private insurances. Believe me: I am very upset.
