I wouldn't consider myself a Christian by any stretch of the imagination, but I do enjoy Christian songs because they more often time than not have an outstanding melody. Which version of "Hallelujah" do you like the best?
I like the tune and I like the ponderous aura that the song radiates. On the other hand the lyrics seem to be whatever popped into the author's mind and nonsensical in nature.
"She tied you to the kitchen chair
She broke your throat and cut your hair."

I think he's referring to Delilah cutting Samson's hair in that verse.

Perhaps, but where in the Sampson story is there a kitchen chair or throat cutting? My memory is that he passed out drunk and Delilah had a Philistine servant come in and cut his hair.

I just love this one too..and actually in every venue she performs it...Didn't she do this during the Winter Olympics 2010??? Awe yes...Loved this one But reviewing the list ( only choices)..I voted for the last one..Celine D's rendition

I think it's throne, not throat.
KD's version SUCKS! Sorry, but I don't like her voice at all.
Thought this was going to be about the Hallelujah chorus from Händel's Messiah.
