God has allowed certain things throughout history, while not endorsing them. He allowed things to happen in a culture, like polygamy, or divorce, but he never said it was good. It went against his plan for marriage...but he still allowed it because of the hearts of the people being hard.
So he only made rules that people could follow with little effort like not eating shellfish. But he never made rules against polygamy, slavery or genocide (actually in the last case he ordered it). And you accuse others of cherry picking or taking things out of context but always have some modern day excuse for anything that he allowed or ordered done in the Bible.
Polygamy is much more complicated to allow than same sex marriage as far as the laws go. In both our countries there are sects of Mormon living under polygamy right now. I never understood the logic behind the idea that gays should be denied rights to prevent others from demanding rights.
He has revealed it to us. Genesis 2. Jesus later affirmed it in Matthew 19.
Didn't Adam marry all the women in the world at that time? Neither of them had siblings so does that mean that originally he did not want us to have siblings.

That's because there was the need to care for widows and young women. When men died in battle...what else was there to do? God allowed the lesser of 2 evils.
