As for the freakin' cake...name 10 of your friends that would even want to eat a cake that was made by someone who was forced to make it? Why didn't the Lesbians just go to a bakery that would enjoy making their cake? Why make such a stink about it. The shop owners were polite and respectful...I'd love to be make these two a cake...LOL...and this is how the rest of their existence as a married couple and as parents, God forbid, will continue...arguing with people, forcing themselves on everyone else. Nonsense...

Polite and respectful? Seriously?

The baker called them an abomination. Then went on a media tour crying persecution, and even posted the couples name and address on facebook.

How about the baker just follow the same laws that everyone else has to follow when operating a business?

More hubris. Self-congratulating, over-baked, spit-take-funny hubris.

And yet they were refused BEFORE the design was ever discussed. And the baker said that they would not sell them any wedding cake since it was for a same sex wedding.

"False" Well, here's a question for you jeffbase: what makes it "sin?" Does God give us characteristics that would make a more fulfilling life for us and others and then say "that's sin?"

I think owners of a privately-owned business not getting govt funds should be free to discriminate against anyone they want to. That includes blacks, gays, Muslims, cops, Irish, White Anglo Saxon Protestants, Republicans, left-handed redheads, or anyone else.

It's their business, their dream. It's no one else's business.

The baker does not PARTICIPATE in the wedding.

The baker bakes a cake, delivers the cake, and gets paid. They do not attend the wedding or the reception. They do not walk anyone down the aisle. They do not officiate. They do not toast the couple. They do not DJ.

Bake, deliver, leave. That is all.

And none of that would have happened if the couple had simply respected someone's religious beliefs, ya know, like people used to do. Do we even know for sure their addresses got posted? The only source I've seen reporting it was an extremely liberal website reporting the story heavily sympathizing with the gay couple. Only a quick blurb about Sweet Cakes getting death threats even launched at their children. Yea your side is realllly tolerable.

They are contributing towards making the wedding a success. That's a level of participation.
