Because steffan keeps claiming its the end of the world, and supposed 'notable scientists', which he has yet to provide any evidence for, are supposedly afraid of the end of 2012 lol.

He's also using the history channel as some sort of supposed scientific source, which is laughable at best. Don't get me wrong, I love the history channel, but to use it as a source for anything scientific is hillarious to me, since it is completely devoid of any mathematics involved. It's like going into intro to physics and expect to actually understand quantum mechanics. Sure you might now a few things about it, but you have no understanding of the material at all.

You're going to argue, for the sake of arguing?how ridiculous does that sound? You're arguing over nothing,do you know how ridiculous that is? I would think that you would spend your time arguing over something that would be a little more worthwhile. This is not a topic that is worth arguing over, there is no point to prove.

Actually ptsum, Many people DO think they predicted a catastrophe on that date. I am not personally a Mayan specialist so will be unable to show you 'proof' of what they said, but plenty of people have interpreted it that way. The fact is that NO-ONE knows exactly what it means - including you. Sorry.

Okay,I'm going to predict that on December 31,2012 that the old year is going to end and a new year is going to begin, how's that? Because that's exactly what it amounts to. It is the end of a 500 year cycle, and the beginning of a new one, that's all. The Mayans made no such predictions, and you don't have to show me the proof, everything that any of the experts have had to say about the subject is pure speculation.

Naw, I never claimed anything of the sort, I don't know what will happen anymore than anyone else, (well maybe not anyone, who knows what the gov. might be keeping under the matress) honestly, do you watch the history channel? hawkings was on one episode on black holes, and mathmatics is simply the universe put into formulas.anyone can do it once you relieze how its done. and tha only real mystery to quantim machanics is knowing the numerical value of things and learning the formulas it is built on

Some take this to mean a symbolic ending as in, an end of an age while others see as it something more ominous - the end of human existence (or much of it) as we know it. It's part of a cycle.

Some say it has happened before and there were survivors who were responsible or all of us being here today. They point to the earth having the residual scars of a tragic upheaval eons ago that brought a previous "Golden Age" to an end. The survivors simply preserved partial memories in what we now call myths.

On December 21st, 2012, there will be some unique alignment involving the earth and sun, one which has not occurred since 240,000 years ago. Some scientists predict this might cause what they call, a "polar shift," which is theorized as an event where earth's poles (north and south) exchange places OR pulled back and then snapped back into place creating a violent upturn of the entire planet.

That the Mayans were skilled astronomers is no secret. That their calendar is more accurate than the ones we use today is also no secret. They charted the courses of the sky with precision, knew of precession and other cosmic events before they occurred is also amazing, but while they predicted something about the winter solstice in the year 2012, the meaning is left up to us to determine.

Your thoughts?
Don't worry about the 2012 date. God's third day does not start until 2034. The Mayans were more of an pagan and evil people. They were not under the direct influnance of the real God, but a false one. That date will come and go. You might want to keep your eye on the 2034.

Albert Einstein once predicted that if bees were to disappear, man would follow only a few years later. That hypothesis could soon be put to the test.

the new consciousness, is AI, but AI is The Anti-christ, The only way to keep up with that is to alter ourselve by making us part AI, The Mark of the beast, also the poles are predicted to shift, because we will be the closest to the center of the galaxy that weve ever been in the past so the switching sides will cause the shift. supposably there is research suggesting there are multiple poles at the moment because of this, also in africa magma is rising causing water to evaporate. ur not gonna hear about this on the news its being filtered right now, notice how the gov is establishing a network everywhere, New World Orders doing, once AI is born it will be everywhere and control everything and things will be good. once u alter ur mind it will live forever, in hinduism life is suffering, dont let this happen to you.
