Let me share a revelation I had during my time on this planet.

I was brought up a Christian. My mother was a firm believer and took me to church every week without fault. I used to be as firm in my beliefs as her. I prayed and prayed and prayed.

One day my best friend got leukemia. He was a good kid. His parents were good people who sent to church and prayed.

I prayed even more. I got my parents to pray with me, my grandparents, my classmates. We prayed our asses off.

It didn't work. 8 months later I attended his funeral. When I asked the pastor why God allowed it, he said to me that "God worked in mysterious ways" and that Lucas "Had been called to sit next to Jesus".

Strike one. I thought Jesus was an egomaniac.

Sometimes later, Luke's parents lost their business. Then they separated. Then Luke's father got in an accident.
As time went by, I saw more and more good people have all the rotten luck in the world. Bad people got rich, got married, had kids and nothing happened to them.
I prayed and prayed and prayed. It did nothing. Bad luck kept coming to good people.

So I had a revelation. God is either a real dirtbag, seeing his people squirm and enjoying it. Or impotent to stop even the smallest evil.
Not really the type of guy I want to have as a friend.
My conclusion: there is no god. And if there is a god, I don't want anything to do with him.

Since that day, my life has been much easier.

The one in the Old Testament stories is exactly that. That was the reason it was written. To show the small-mindedness of those in power.

God does not bring disasters in people or causes suffering. You may not believe in God but he believes in you. I used to be angry at God as I believe he brought disasters in my life but that is not what the bible says.

Jesus truly cares and loves you, and he does promise the faithful that all their tears will be wiped from their face.

Going to church, doing the religious activities does not make someone a Christian, or if you believe in Jesus. It is having Jesus as your personal saviour and having a personal relationship with him.

There are people who lost everything but still had their trust in God to deliver them, even when things appeared hopeless. Ito is because they rely on faith and not by sight. Joseph was disliked by his brothers and he was sold as as a slave to an Egyptian. He was disowned by his own family and even went to prison in Egypt for a crime he did not commit. Yet Joseph remained faithful to God. Eventually Joseph became the second most powerful man in Egypt.

Today so many Christians especially from the Middle East have lost so much, but one thing they have not lost is their faith. Here is a quote from an Iraqi nun regarding this situation:“We were displaced, yet we feel that the hand of God is still with us…In the midst of this darkness, this suffering, we see that God is holding us,” she explained, adding that it is a “gift of the Holy Spirit” to be able to stay and have faith through hardship.
Iraqi Christians have lost everything

Yes I do have my bad days and there are times i wish I could scream but I learn to trust God. God brings the holy spirit to comfort me during my troubles.

You make assertions without any evidence to support them!

For me I live a life of faith and not by sight. Yes in my life i have suffered tribulations and downturns, and due to that I lost my faith in God. But one day I went to a church and I experienced such inner peace and hope I have not felt in a long, long time and since then my life has not been the same.

I feel so much more peace of mind with Jesus Christ in my life. yes my life is not perfect and i have problems but i fully trust the lord to guide and help me. I do not understand why hardships happen, but one thing I failed to do is loose the trust in the Lord.

Yes the Lord will wipe tears from peoples eyes.
Revelation 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

To the OP.

How sad for you. I hope you will snap out of that attitude before you pass over to the spirit world. To know the real God is to love him immensely and to understand that He loves us even more. May I suggest that you pray for God's Divine Love and forget everything you learned in church.

Of course, we may not always appreciate the bad stuff that happens in this earth life because it hurts like heck... but it is fleeting and one day we'll forget that we even lived here.

Only the good die young. The rest of us that are alive are for the further missions. And these were what I learnt from the walk. I hope you don't lose faith in God. After all, there is no one for you to trust.

If He is God, then why you reason with Him? God must knows what is the best.

I have no evidence for 99% of what I say.

I was really cold yesterday morning...I have absolutely no evidence or proof
to support that I forgot a jacket.
