Sometimes the worst kids can come from the wealthiest of families as mom and pop just give them money to go do as they please, just stay out of my hair. These kids will act up just to grab their parents attention. Some may end up in jail because no disciplinary action was taken, now Johnny here is a nice present or gift ,promise us you won't ever do that evil thing again.

Those parents are not making their children a priority They are abusers. If a child is acting up there is a reason. Something is going on with the child or with the family. Most likely the family. Children act out when they are surrounded by dysfunction.

This is not a problem if you take the time to use a neutral object.

James Dobson:
  • "When a youngster tries this kind of stiff-necked rebellion, you had better take it out of him, and pain is a marvelous purifier." Dare to Discipline, p. 16.
  • "...It is not necessary to beat the child into submission; a little bit of pain goes a long way for a young child. However, the spanking should be of sufficient magnitude to cause the child to cry genuinely." Dare to Discipline, p. 23.
  • "Two or three stinging strokes on the legs or buttocks with a switch are usually sufficient to emphasize the point, 'You must obey me.' " The Strong-Willed Child, pp. 53-4.
  • Minor pain can...provide excellent motivation for the child... There is a muscle, lying snugly against the base of the neck... When firmly squeezed, it sends little messengers to the brain saying, 'This hurts; avoid recurrence at all costs'." Dare to Discipline, p. 26.
  • "Real crying usually lasts two minutes or less, but may continue for five. After that point, the child is merely complaining... I would require him to stop the protest crying, usually by offering him a little more of whatever caused the original tears." Dare to Discipline, p.38.

What a sweetheart, wouldn't you say? Still think Dobson is being slandered?
How do people not know about James Dobson and Focus on the Family? Dobson promotes child abuse.

ha !!

From "Christians" to "religious people" and paint everyone (about what? 4 to 5 billion people) with one brush stroke.

Last year India produced more college graduates than USA.

India is heavily influenced by religion (Hinduism, Christianity, Muslims, Budhists etc)

OP, so what's your next thread?

Why do "religious people" excel in academic excellence than non-religious people?

As for the last one, yes that's legit. But in terms of cancer, you are out of line holding people responsible. It's not as if faith-based treatment is any worse than a placebo.

Exactly, just like in the bible they are spoiling the child, foregoing the disciplining, money will solve everything, neglect big time as they could care less about their kid.
