I don't know of a Christian that takes his faith seriously who says that atheists are "no good". I'm sorry if you've been told that by someone claiming to be a Christian.

Labels? In other words, nouns.

The word 'atheist' has a definition. I meet that definition. Thus, I am an atheist. Similarly, I'm also a male, a Minnesotan, a mammal, an avid reader, a liberal, and a skeptic - among myriad other things. I fail to see the problem with appropriately using nouns where relevant. And in discussions of religion, nouns such as 'atheist' and 'Christian' and 'agnostic' and 'Muslim' and many others are commonly relevant.

Only labeling I'm seeing here is calling us "fundies". Or bigots.

Bottom line..NO ONE is any better than anyone else no matter what religion, non religion, amount of money one has...how pretty or not, how fat or thin..No One Is Better Than Anyone Else.

There are a lot of people I don't like, but I'm no better than them.

Regardless of what you'd like to be the case, some people ARE better than others. I don't know what this has to do with labels however, because labels are simply a manner to reduce adjectives. For example, I'd rather call myself an atheist than to explain myself as "someone who has no belief in Gods". You might feel differently, but still people will continue to label you, me, and everyone else.

So in your world an atheist and a Catholic Christian are the same thing? And if each chooses to use a label when explaining this particular aspect of his life he is a hypocrite ? Really?

You're simply stating the obvious. What is actionable here about your statement? Will people magically be humble if they don't "use labels"?
