Is this any more newsworthy than a gas station attendant or any random person doing the same?
I believe that in some sense it constitutes an additional breach of accountability and trust any time that a person possessing officially (religious or otherwise) recognized authority commits a criminal act against one or more individuals under their charge. Such is how society-at-large typically operates, and for good reason.
Methinks Eusie feels that if everything else fails, lets grasp at straws, or, hey, why not go the Trump route and throw innuendo around like confetti at a wedding.
I know some very good Christians. Not many of them show themselves on these forums.
No, what I think is that usually the persons condemning others for their failures are the very ones who are doing the same thing or worse.
of course we should. Unfortunately, though....most churches or denominations that ordain said pastors don't do their homework on evaluating said pastoral candidate and they just let anyone do it.
Some Christian pastors are posers who are in it merely because they like the "work", or they are comfortable doing it.
However, on his part, Ikpa denied the allegation, disclosing that it was a neighbour, whom he identified only as Richard, that defiled the 14-year-old girl, but he decided not to report the matter to the police because he (Ikpa) had a forgiving character.

Why doesn't God communicate with the congregation and let them know the truth about their pastor? Why does God tell people to run for President and not bake cakes for gay people but not once has he let anyone know that a Pastor is raping teenage girls?

This is a brilliant question.
I guess it's about priorities, eh?
Dude is equally inscrutable when He lets little kids starve because He's too busy locating Joe WASP's Rav4 keys.

my bad, sexing the step-daughter is permissible, it ain't like incest or any thing, huh? Since step-daughter ain't really FAMILY eh?

Not really. It's one thing to tell the congregation that certain lifestyles are not in line with Christ and quite another for someone to come here and point to certain individuals by name for their failings.
