However, on his part, Ikpa denied the allegation, disclosing that it was a neighbour, whom he identified only as Richard, that defiled the 14-year-old girl, but he decided not to report the matter to the police because he (Ikpa) had a forgiving character.

Step-daughter, not your typical incest...

Yeah, but what if in between all this activity, the pastor bought someone a tank of gas?

Geez, you people, harping on the negatives Christian leaders do without EVER noting all the positives. Blah blah rape blah blah children blah blah one's own family member. You know, in between the rapes this guy MIGHT have been fixing someone's computer.

Without asking for a cent in payment!

I think we should be fair and give this guy the benefit of a doubt. I'll bet he drives people to dry-out clinics all the time. Even if they're not Christian (the people, not the clinics).

And it could be that the people posting these things are guilty of more heinous crimes than the perps they post about.

That absolutely could be.

If so, it's likely they're not simultaneously professing to be Christian, having received grace, and therefore coming from a godly and more selfless as opposed to selfish perspective.

Not definite but very likely. (As it's unlikely that a person professing Christianity would author this type of thread.)

You never know. Some of the ministers who were the most outspoken against homosexuality were discovered to be closet homosexuals themselves. Ted Haggard comes to mind.

Personally, I hate pointing the finger at others for their mistakes made in life because I know I am a sinner, am not perfect and could fall into some horrible sin myself.

Only the shadow knows...what cruelty lurks in the heart of men..
And those posting the alleged "good news" are actually hanging out in men's restrooms at the airport?

So if you had your way NO ONE would be in prison, pedophiles would run free and Ted Bundy would be your daughter's first and last date?

Is this any more newsworthy than a gas station attendant or any random person doing the same?

You don't believe pastors should be held to a higher moral standard than Joe Guy?

Why am I not surprised?

of course we should. Unfortunately, though....most churches or denominations that ordain said pastors don't do their homework on evaluating said pastoral candidate and they just let anyone do it.

Some Christian pastors are posers who are in it merely because they like the "work", or they are comfortable doing it.
