And they wonder why we view them as crazy loons in the name of christianity (America, prophets)

Any loon that thinks this is the way to behave towards something you don't agree with...take note how ineffective this behavior is.
If you don't agree with Target bathroom policies, shouting christian babble at employees and customers is not going to gain you brownie points or help further your agenda.
In a way I am glad these loons have popped up and are out there foaming at the mouth...it helps sane people to see just how disturbed and angry fundamental christians are. The babble they shout is a disease of the mind that needs to be eradicated.

I suppose they are convinced that this transgender thing is a bridge too far and that god's wrath is imminent. And if they speak out against it enough then perhaps god will spare them as he is said to have spared some of his prophets.
This is disordered thinking very similar to what I read last night ... some idiot in Goodyear AZ took umbrage to a shirt his daughter was wearing that he decided was "Satanic". He burned the shirt but that wasn't good enough, he became convinced that a blood sacrifice was necessary to appease the deity -- the sacrifice, he said, must be either himself, his son, or the family dog. Well he bypassed himself (of course) and thankfully his son and announced that the dog would pay the ultimate sacrifice. The family tried to flee with the dog (a poodle) but he then grabbed the daughter (presumably she of the Forbidden Shirt) as hostage. Finally they negotiated the release of the daughter in exchange for the dog and a promise he wouldn't harm it. However he wrung its neck and tossed it into the back yard barbecue anyway.
Of course the Christians here will say he's mentally ill, not one of us, or possibly even that we don't know the whole situation and maybe he had a good reason to barbecue the dog.
I would just say that if the guy was crazy enough that his own family recognized they needed to try to flee, that particular tale may have more mental illness behind it than religion, but it was certainly enabled and amplified by religious ideation -- as any mental health professional will tell you, is common.
These Target nutters aren't quite that far along the path to the padded cell as the guy in Goodyear AZ but it is all part and parcel of the same theocracy-craving ideology. The basic principle is that if you can't control society to be as you / god want it, pitch some sort of fit in order to cleanse yourself and show god that you're not having any of it. If it involves making an idiot of yourself or abusing people or animals, so much the better apparently.
I would say fundamental christians have a ton of company.. the ones that protest for confused men going into the girl's room. They are in the "loony Bunch" Or how about HUD going into communities and putting in section 8 homes. Seems these fundamentals are wacked on all fronts. they want to force everybody into thinking their flubed up nonsense.
What is sick and foul is religious extremists claiming transgenders are pedophiles who will attack children in the Target restroom.
That's because it has happened in this thing called reality.
