There is obviously not in yours. Someone mentions air... I make ax reference to a very well written story line. You knock it. Who has the closed mind?

Lighten up and quit judging ? This from the guy getting his panties in a wad because someone threw a little humor in he didn't appreciate for some childish reason ?

LOL. Take some of your own medicine . Or better yet, get that plank out of your eye before worrying about what's in someone else's eye .

You do win the prize for getting the most offended over the silliest reason in the history of CD, I do believe.

This is about the most insane and disconnected from the topic post I have ever read on CD .

We have to. People think they have a strong case with all different arguments for the existence of God. But the truth is none have any objective validity and the only people they convince are those who already believe. In what way is your "case" any stronger than those of thousands of other religions and denominations?

I disagree because the case does not look strong to me. To me it looks wrong.

So, as an side to the giggling audience... are we just arguing about how many angels fit on the head of a pin -- something which has nothing to do with everyday human life?

Actually there is political issue involved. Abortion. To me a zygote is just a cell, but some people like to insert special invisible things into those cells in order to call other people murderers, when this should be nothing but a matter of personal morality. If abortion bothers you then by all means abstain, but there is no objective basis for this claim that a zygote is anything but a cell, like the hundreds we slaughter every time we scratch our head.

What? You have a difficult time lightening up and stop judging when it is your turn?

But I was just asking you to take some of your own medicine. So apparently you want to be the only one dispensing medicine to anybody. LOL You are outraged at some offense you imagine me taking at your post as an excuse for taking offense at my post. What an incredible hypocrisy!

Whatever dude. If you wish to equate your irrational anger at a poster making a harmless and non insulting joke with me pointing out your childishness , be my guest . Your strange and irrational behavior is self evident , and needs no further pointing out from me .

Whatever dude. If you wish to fabricate some imaginary anger as an excuse for dispensing judgments and calling names then I guess that is the game that winds your clock.

There was no anger whatsoever in response to this. Apparently the first line is supposed to be funny somehow. I didn't watch much of the show referred to, so I didn't get the joke. Anyway the second line was meant to be apologetic and I treated it as critical, which is no doubt why YOU GUYS got so angry, thus demonstrating how easily people get offended at the littlest things....

Avatar, the last air bender, was a cartoon. It was made for kids but explored very adult themes. Many of those themes were spiritual/religious in nature.

My stepson turned me on to it. Honestly, it's probably the single most progenitor of questioning, at that time, why I was atheist. The interplay of man and spirit, destiny, doing what's right vs expected...

Inspiration and questioning can come from many angles. Some of my mental health providers use some of the dialogue for their patients.

How is any of that negative, if it's helping other humans?
