You've already been shown these proclmations mean butkis. And before you claim no rebuttal, it is intersting that you have not responded to the questions in Post 22.
All you did was deflect. Now, answer those questions.
YOU deflected. I put forth a detailed rebuttal (with substantiation) as to your OP base point that Reagan was an advocate for Religion and Government to be separate.
He was just the opposite...this is proved by his actions, that I noted.
It's not just a "proclamation"....it is a full "LAW". With all the legal mojo of any other law.
I explained how it could effect the citizens...and even linked another explanation. You didn't catch that?
How it influences "Belief/NonBelief" is inconsequential.

It has that potential to be used as a legal argument in those situations: Year of the Bible, Public Law 97-280
My point is: As usual...you continue with your fervent and obsessive effort to bash, slam, and criticize Religion and the Religious (hundreds of Belief bashing threads by you).
This time...what you state is the exact opposite of the reality of actions that occured! Funny!

A detailed rebuttal? You didn't answer one of the questions asked. Your pastor quoted is dreaming in technicolor if he thinks that proclamation has any legal standing in the separation of church and state, as numerous SCOTUS decisions have proven. Proof? The bible he thinks can't be removed from the classroom was and continues to be removed. He's a foof.

I answered everything relevant...in detail, with extras.
I don't know that anyone has made a challenge using that Law. It would be interesting to see it.
IMO, it was wrong to even have anything of the sort before our Government...in any context.
But they did...and it even went to a vote in both the House & Senate...and the Prez signed it.
So much for..."Separation of Church and State"!! But, then, that always was a total joke!
No group has done more to inculcate the Government and the U.S. with Religion than the Government Officials themselves. They always have...they do now...and they always will. They are, and have always been, corrupt in that regard.

Oh yeah...BIGTIME effect, of course.
The Government Officials always saturating the Government and the society with Religion, is one of the main reasons this country has remained so Religious for so long.
What I noted is a prime example of not only Reagan, but most of the high level people running the show, doing EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what you were claiming in your OP.
Not that noting things about the prevalence of Religion that are the opposite of how things actually are isn't typical of you...but this had a extra dose of "Opposite of Reality"!
