Mobberly Baptist Church - Longview, TX

Flippin' Hypocrite!

Here is this yokel SBC pastor flapping off his lips how religious freedom is under attack by secular America, and bemoans the situation that he sees, and then turns around and says that if your Muslim, you don't count or need religious freedom the same way Christians do.

Really?

Was this guy born under a cabbage leaf? From the letter he wrote:
Muslim leaders are being asked to lead public prayers at sporting events, local rodeos and other public gatherings. As a pastor, I am often asked to offer an opening or closing prayer at many such functions, which I readily and joyfully do — recognizing that all of my freedoms are, indeed, gifts from God through His Son Jesus Christ’s selfless sacrifice on the cross. The freedom to pray at such events is an expression of my worship to the one and only true God. While every American can worship in private, every American should not be forced to take part in just any worship in the public spectrum, especially when such worship is of a false religion.
False religion? You mean like the fairy tale you talk about every Sunday? The one invented by a bunch of superstitious goat herders telling tall tales around the desert campfire? Why should any public have to listen you your babble?

And people like him get to vote. No wonder America has problems getting good people into government.

They still will not admit that a persons religion is usually an accident of birth. If they were born in Kandahar they would not be a Christian.

Well...it is only reasonable.
It is the U.S....and the Government here has declared The Bible to be the Word Of God. It is The Law that is so. That law also says that we should study the Scriptures.
You should start obeying the law cupper.
The schools should all teach the students that law...so they won't be confused by conflicting info.

Your stuck in a rut. This trope of yours has been debunked a number of times. Get over it.

Point me to that law. Failure to do so would make you a liar, correct? Tell me, what happens to liars according to your book?

(holy ****, isn't this how Ray Comfort structures arguments? I asked him a question that only gives the illusion of choice. In reality, I'm not stupid enough to believe what he's saying. The law he refers to does not exist and I doubt he's stupid enough to not know that also. So in the end, he has no choice but to lie, but I present it as if he does have a choice and that's literally what Ray Comfort does... I feel dirty... I need a shower)

There is a progressive maxim: "Be the change you want to see." This is a very powerful concept. However, it can be as easily used by those who seek to oppress others as it is used by those who seek to oppose oppression of others. They can simply act as if the reality is in actuality their corrupted and antagonistic view of things, and if fostered by an echo chamber and left unconfronted by people of conscience, such behavior can inch society closer to their perverse preference. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil, in this case being the caustic attitudes Dominionism directs toward non-Christians, is that good men do nothing.
