Churches are supposed to give glory to God, not worth and dignity to men and women.

The Anglican church is not even a cohesive church in the West. It's totally fractured along
sex issues. Anyone who wants to stay abreast of the "Church" of England,
Episcopal "Church", Anglican Communion, etc, here's your best website:

btw, the "Church" of England still doesn't perform "gay" "weddings".

The Anglican Church of Canada is not the Church of England but associated with it. It was Canadian Anglicans deciding on policy of The Anglican Church of Canada. I doubt the different Anglican churches in Africa are going to allow SSM anytime soon either.

That's at best a vacuous rationalization for inexcusable behavior. Congrats - you're an enabler.

I believe many (the majority) of them have opted to do so, though an "Opt out" concession is offered.

I'll set aside the cunning suggestion that they are somehow not a Real church and thus not Real Christians but will just observe that a church's work in giving glory to God is severely undermined if they fail to give due worth and dignity to men and women. Especially if other churches are in fact opting to do so.

And THAT is the unbelievable corruption of Christ's Gospel that pervades the anti-Christ apostate Churches prophesied for these latter days. God IS glory and can NOT be added to, certainly not by the corrupt efforts of the churches who ignore Christ's actual Gospel. Without agape love, there can be no glory of any kind.

So, in effect, the SSM is a celibate joining of a couple? That has to be the way it works with the church because otherwise it would be encouraging sin.

The churches have become corrupt in the name of keeping butts in the pews. Money talks and the greedy answer. These churches have nothing to do with the Bible deciding it is "outdated". All I can say is "Good luck with that."

Not a shocker. There are some good Anglican preachers, but the denomination went liberal years ago.

The churches became corrupt early on when they adopted the ancient ignorance of our primitive and barbaric ancestors' beliefs about God. They completely misinterpreted Christ's act of pure agape love as a barbaric blood sacrifice to appease a wrathful God. All the corruption stems from that ignorant, primitive error that has been maintained as a sign of faith in God despite massive advances in knowledge and understanding. It is a travesty highlighting the true perversity of humanity.

They are awakening.

Good for them.

Even Rome will eventually follow suit, although perhaps not in my lifetime. Within two generations, only backwater cults will wrinkle their inbred noses at SSM.

Kind of like the snake-handling churches in Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia, not seriously looked at as dispensing a message of hope. Since I already believe fundamentalism is a cult--it just means they will become more recognizable for what they are. Two generations is none too soon.
