This site is the home to people from many different walks of life and religions. I know we are not all trying to convert each other, so what do you hope to gain by sharing your views with others and listening to theirs ?

I think 'Laughable claims of creationists' would be a good thread.

That's in the first three pages, and without counting similar threads started by creationists.

I'm here as a social exercise. Not much opportunity to speak my mind in real life. I've found moments of likemindedness that have been refreshing & unavailable otherwise.

I find myself learning new things & the gossip factor is fascinating. *L*

Wink The Boson Particle answers all!

Oh. I see. I took it literally. "Why Are You Here?"

I was going to answer, smuggly, that I'm here because of the predictable interaction of molecules and sub-atomic particles over very long time horizons.

Not a good answer?

I gotta admit I would like to advertise my wonderful new discoveries about the gospels under the discipline of redaction criticism, but, if there are no takers of that, countering the misrepresentations of Creationist Fundamentalism (or Fundamentalist Creationism will do) seems to me to be a worthy alternative aim.

NO...but it fits in with the other snarky answers very nicely.

I have been here for almost three years and have made some very good friends and that friendship has spilt over into my real life..I talked to a couple of cd friends on the phone today and it made an otherwise normal day a great day

I have learned so much just by reading the thousands of opinions..Sometimes I agree, sometimes I don't..I try not to debate, because I don't feel like any of us will win, but I can understand the ones with all the right knowledge of the debate to participate..some of you are really good at it Some of you need a remedial course in debate

Bottom line is I stay because...I'm addicted
