I can't tell exactly who you are crushing on. Is it Trout, Mystic or Nate?
Nice try, but do I really strike you as gullible enough to get sucked into that game?
I am "crushing on" (whatever that means) those who claim to be Christians while proclaiming a Jesus who bears no resemblance to the historical Jesus and a "Christianity" that is in fact New Age pabulum in a Jesus mask. If that is you, consider yourself "crushed on."

You flatter yourself. I haven't seen enough substance out of you to know or care what you believe.
My friends used to hate my Mom because of the curses she called on us and I believed it and still do, just as my friends believed it and still do. If we were to do any evil, everything we put our hand to failed, coincidence like no other, and we always knew it was my mom praying for us and we would really get mad and say,'' Freaking STOP IT.''
I wouldn't call it curses she called on you, she was probably just making sure the curses DIDN'T get a good hold on you. A friend of mine had a mother like that and he said that when he and his buddies went out in high school, she'd go in her bedroom and start praying. When they got home, she'd tell them everywhere they went and everything they did. Spooked 'em, but not enough to stop carousing and drinking. Eventually, they found the Lord, though. I have to believe it was because He used a bible believing illiterate little old lady to pray up a storm around them, and they'd say the same. There's something about a mother's prayers.... Peace
Thank you for the correction. Still, how do you know what you said about Jesus ^^^? What is your source, if not Christian scripture?
My source is the very book that you hold so dear, the first half of which was co-opted by a new religion, and the second half of which is thoroughly embellished by the fantasies of men.
Jesus said he was the son of God, not God. Christians decided he was God.
Jesus said he spoke to the father, and the father spoke to him, and would sit at his right hand. He is not his own father, and cannot sit at his own right hand. Do you believe Jesus was talking to himself?
Jesus claimed to be the Moshiach. God never said that God would be the Moshiach, but that a man would be.
I am reading what Jesus said about himself, and he never claimed to be God. He claimed to be a savior (as many others have before and since him), but not God himself.
Others have elevated Buddha to godhood. Buddha was not a god, he said specifically he was not a god.
Why should I listen to what other people have decided about a man?

Christianity did not decide that. It's in scripture.
Matt. 1
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.â€
22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel†which means “God with usâ€.

Must be, I don't really do paganism. I wonder if there is anything I can do that would get me more of this kind of attention
Feel free to drop by the Chat thread any time, nate. Or any thread that might strike your fancy. We have a few daring/renegade Christians who realize they won't get sinful cooties by passing the time of day with a heathen or three.
The Pagan tent is a large one, with plentiful windows and doors. No one need feel trapped in a narrow, confined place.
So, c'mon visit whenever. Maybe a little of the notoriety that turns Troggy's crank will rub off on ya'.

Oh, it's ok, Dude, thanks for the invite, but it's just not my thing....unless there is something going on you think I might be interested in. I know a bit about pagans and I have a couple of Quaker F/friends that came that way (by the way, they are amazingly spiritually aware and I have learned much from them). That's a big tent too.
"The historical Jesus - boo! hiss! - said this (Matthew 10:34-36, NASB):
"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household.” oh you are so right and so wrong..
He is the big brother well Now .. but if you searching the scripture you will find that the fools of this world
" strike the judge of Israel on the cheek ", since he has been so patient to date what could they do that might get him and his Daddy so dang mad? and yes someone even get's big daddy mad and that is stupid thing to do. then Big Daddy says
" sit here son until I make these fools your footstool!! " whatever it is you all do .. it wasn't a good thing to do and you all will regret it . God and his son has been patient and he will NOT be patient after that.
well they will draw their swords and then he will do all that he promises to do to the wicked. and the last day after that the SON has gathered the foolish nations He will come out of the clouds/ sukkahs/ giant camps which are something like bio-domes full of the living and all saved that He loves and all things that are his . all the old and weak and all the children .
So that "sword" you mock doesn't come into existence and it isn't drawn for no reason.
he already proved 2000 years ago you can strike him on the cheek and he doesn't draw a sword..
but that last time the fools strike something much more important to him than just his cheek. and it will prove to be all you who hate him , all had a very foolish idea.
