The state of loss and woe, in a place of tears and confusion.
Hunter, thirst and burning heat, bring upon untold suffering.
Because people tend to repeat what they’ve been taught
without applying critical thinking to the process.

Also, the threat of hell keeps people in the pews (and,

What if hell is returning to life in this form til you master whatever you need to know? We may reincarnate easily and be any creature in any galaxy too.. I think we as humans are pretty simple minded and making this all way too easy with a black and white prognosis when it comes to this heaven and hell thing.

Reincarnation and working off "karma" is one interesting scenario. There are others, but the point of the possibility of change after death and judgement is the difference between love and revenge.

Maybe even reincarnating into the same life as before. That could be one
(though not the only) explanation for deja-vu.

The irreversible nature of the whole concept is deeply disturbing, there is no doubt about that.

I like this one. I had an experience once where I felt like I was being granted a do over so I could avoid a huge mistake.

If you can recognize the adsurdity of hell, do you not see the absurdity of the biblical God as a whole?

I remember being told that Hell is being separated from God for eternity.

So much omnipresence. Why on earth didn't you question that?

Or was it simply you had no idea what you are worshipping?
