By the way I know the terms because I was a pastor, and did my time in seminary and all that fun stuff. If that impresses you or not, is rather irrelevant. Although it does seem to upset christians when they realize I know the bible better then they do. Often the phrase "even satan knows the bible" comes up.

The point is very simple, your particular end times theology is the baby of them all, and everyone of them is backed by the bible. Personally preterism is more in line with the way the text is written, but that is if you take the time to get into the greek and use and so on.

For example the book of revelations starts out saying "these things shall soon pass" the greek words in that particular passage refer to something about to happen, as in day now. They do not refer to some long off futuristic thing, and the words that John used cant mean a far off future event.

No, what he was talking about was going to happen, or was already taking place THEN!

If you take the time to study preterism, you would shocked at how clearly the book of revelations can be explained. The real shocker is that 99.99% of the book of Revelations, has already happened.

Sorry but the mid-trib, pre-trib, post-trib what ever rapture, is the new kid on the block.

You know I recall there is a book which explains four of the main end times theologies, very good book. It just lays them out favoring no one over the other, you might look for it.

Hold one let me google it ... well I cant find it right now, but here is a web site that summerizes them Eschatology, end times, & millennialism: Competing theories and you can call Quo Vadis Books 1037 East Lemon Street Tempe, AZ (Arizona) 85281-3903 Phone: (480) 968-3663, I used to do a ministry there, and ask them about the book, I know they carry it.

As for the "core doctrine" well to be very honest, churches do not even agree on what they are, and you get this whole mess of who is saved and who isnt saved all the time. The UPC and the UPCI are big on this, they insist that no one who isnt in there churches can be saved.

All I am saying really, is takes some time to really study what others are saying, learn how to use and condordance and lexicon, both are on line and if you really want a good bible translation this one is by far the best Concordant Publishing; Concordant Version

Oh and in closing, I do not just know the words, I also know the theologies, the history and how they work with the bible. One of the problems I has as a pastor was how uneducated most christians where about their own religion.

YEAY!!! finally--thanks

I think it's absurd to believe everything you read. If someone wants to believe in God, that's fine, but leave the rest of us alone.

Yes the change in the earth's magnetic poles have been overdue for quite but it also happens in the sun.

With the earth we have a bipole, that is to say a north and a south. In the sun however things get more complicated. While it still has a magnetic north and a magnetic south, it also has millions of miny poles that arise in particular areas depending on the solar activity. An example of this are sun spots.

Now back in 2001 i think, scientists who were observing the sun saw that it was starting a cycle which roughly takes 11 years where the solar activity is several times greater than before. This of course cause lots of magnetic fields that overshadows the magnetic bipole of the sun. So at some point in 2012, the solar activity will decrease and the magnetic north and south will go back to normal. Sure there is always the thread of a giant solar flare at that time will bombard us with more radiation that we can possibly imagine but i wouldn't give every single one of my possessions to charity just yet

He is also just. Think of it this way: God's wrath will pour out, He wants to badly for people to turn to Him and be saved because He loves us with an indescribable love. Any good King must punish injustice. God is completely just. His wrath is a result of humans refusing to turn from evil and turn to God, everything that is just, good, and true. He is love. And his grace is more than enough for anyone who wants to turn to Him. He never gets tired of forgiving. I'm sorry if I sound like i'm "preaching", but the fact is, i'm in love.
Wrath is good? Consuming fire is good? Again wrath is good?
As Atheists, we neither want nor care about wrath or your god.
Basically you’re saying that your god is jealous and hateful.
Yet you equate this with love.

How are your relationships with real people?
Interesting, I assume. You sound very confused.

you're right, there are no gods--there is only 1 GOD (with a capital G). THE God. The creator of the universe. To deny His existence you would be denying your existence and the existence of all creation around you, because He made it all. Not only is He a creator, but He desires to have a personal relationship with you if you're willing to surrender your life to His will. He is powerful because He IS God. The one TRUE God. All other "gods" are myths, nothing more. You can't live for a myth, it's like living a lie. But God, aka Jesus Christ, is True and Real and alive today! Believe it or not (believe it).
