I know right, I can't sleep with music on, but I used to go to sleep with the tv on all night. I bet my tv was never turned off for ten years because I needed the noise, random noise, but music would never let me sleep cause I would always sing.

No electronics in the bedroom except a clock.
Silence for going to sleep.

Typically I read until I'm sleepy.

Recently, I have reciting Evening Devotions followed by listening to a hymn. I'm particularly drawn to this one, which puts my heart and mind at ease before I drift off to sleep...
