It's a place you can come and see God's work first hand in the beauty and skills that he gave man. The beautiful cathedrals are not built not to show their wealth in arrogance. That is a false assumption. Besides, a vast number of Catholic Churches are relatively plain as mine is.

Jesus through the Holy Spirit will not allow false teachings to come from his Church since God is perfect and without error. Jesus made one Church, not the chaos of 32,000+ Protestant churches. So I will continue to go to the Church that Jesus, himself, began 2000 years ago, and worship God in a manner consistent with the comprehensive tearchings of Jesus Christ himself.

Ahh a catholic.

Sorry but the early church would be appolled by the church today, be it catholic or protestant, neither are what jesus started.

LOL not that there ever was a jesus, more like what Paul started.

2)tearchings=teachings,
Jesus said feed the hungry, there is more then enough church realty to solve the world hunger problem. Yet all this trillions of dollars of assets are not spent doing what jesus said, but on more piles of bricks and pretty glass.

Even jesus said the son of man has no place to lay his head, meaning he didnt have a home. He was YES a homeless man.

Of course I am sure you can show me the verses where jesus said build these things. Do not look, I am just kidding there are none.

Anyways, jesus was a made up character in Paul's fairy tale anyways, so it really does not matter.

How beautiful, ptsum. My point exactly, although I enjoy sitting in my family's church. At least sitting in the great outdoors never makes me feel shallow.

Define 'pantheist,' please. Is this one who worships the world? the earth? I'm not sure that's exactly how I believe. I just feel closer to a god, God, Himself, or at least something greater than what I am, when I am outdoors and a part of Nature.

Pantheisem, it is a view that everything is of an all-encompassing immanent abstract God, or that the universe, or nature, and God are equivalent.

It just means that God, nature, and the universe are all the same.

It's the belief that, the sum total of all that is, was, and shall be.

I was Native American before the word ( Pantheisem) was ever invented..
