another good insight in that some people can't separate different lines of logic from other lines of logic. "no after life" doesn't have to have a bearing on a god thing or not.

Another area that is a weak argument against "whatever" for me. Having hope that the wrong we have done wont follow us forever is a good thing no matter how you slice it. A person understanding their transgression and doing the best they can to atone for it isn't a get out of jail free card. Its just an absurd claim that it is.

be that as it may, it also doesn't prove or disprove anything.

you got me thinking.

yeah, that's the problem with some atheist. They can't see that there are things worse than death. Or I should say, more important than life. They think life is a birth right and not a gift.

I believe its the link between atheism and anti-religion socialism. some people get their security blanket from god and others get it treating "life" so important that they never chose against it, "I only chose life, I am good".

I am going to have to play around with this.

I have to laugh every time I read that. Jesus does a pretty good job of protecting his children, doesn't he?
Jesus has returned? or do you mean Jesus did a pretty good job of protecting his children in his day? Probably better than you are doing in your day. Today 4:00 PM.

Jesus died for your sins.
And you will die for your sins.
And the whole world will die for your sins.
Who will help you then?
Only God knows.

Your problem is Incomprehensibility, lack of understanding. And instead of searching out the word, looks like you spend your time fighting with fools. You're probably good at it. Have fun.

There is all kinds of amazing things going on in Christianity if you don't shut yourself off to the truth.
jeffbase, until science figures out how to take snapshots of the heart it's simply going to remain a feeling, or an imagined "Yes" or "vague names popping into the head from the subconscious level. If this girl did experience something supernatural God would be doing it to ALL Christians because He doesn't favor one child over another, right? So why doesn't this happen to ALL Christians right with the Lord? Please don't tell me it does because it definitely doesn't. So why didn't He tell this dumb pastor not to wade into a river of crocodiles? Half his congregation turned their backs on Jesus as a result of this epic fail. Is that what Jesus would have wanted?

What on earth?

You cut and pasted my answer. I NEVER said or implied I laughed at the fact that 5 innocent children died horribly on a highway. That's slanderous and as a Christian you should be ashamed of yourself and get down on your knees and beg Jesus for forgiveness for your sin. Here's what I actually said:

It's even more ironic when you read Psalm 91:

Quote:
"He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from the fatal plague. … For he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go.

I have to laugh every time I read that. Jesus does a pretty good job of protecting his children, doesn't he?
I said I have to laugh every time I read Psalm 91, NOT the news article. But I am going to leave your misleading statement up so the non-Christians can see what complete lack of integrity some so-called "Christians" have.

Everyone with half a brain sees that.

Don't you just love when you post something and people pretend to misinterpret it? They aren't fooling anyone. People can read for themselves.

When you spend every waking hour telling people (or yourself) what a wonderful place they will go to when they die if they would only accept Jesus into their lives and then, when it's your turn to go there, you fight tooth and nail to stay here, then yes, doubt IS a bad thing.

Yes, thank you, MightyQueen. Some lurkers though skip right over the OP and jump to the last post and then get the impression that's what I said. Oh, well. Just another day in a religious forum.
