Victory is short lived for the Christians so very often these days. Just a few years ago when she was released from jail by fellow crazy, Mike Huckabee, Kim Davis, former serial fornicator raised her arms in victory and screamed, "Praise Jesus. He freed me from the bonds of the heathens. Praise be to his holy name."
Nowadays Kim finds herself ousted from her job and up to her ears in legal fees. This woman has no shame. She wants the taxpayers to pick up her tab since she incurred it fighting the good fight for Jaysuz while denying gays their constitutional rights to obtain a marriage license to get married. Should we pay her fees for her (snicker)
These Christian crazies can't see the writing on the wall: all their cherished beliefs, particularly the ones that gays should be burned at the stake or stoned are going to go up in flames eventually. It's already starting to happen as we can see. Praise the Lord!!!! (holding arms up to the sky)
The "Christian" thing to do would be to file bankruptcy if she cannot get the state to pay her fees. Failing that, I'm pretty sure her fellow crazies will take up a collection robbing their kids' piggy banks to cover her debts.
She disobeyed the law and her superiors. She denied the civil rights of individuals and she overran the religious rights of those she supervised. And she disobeyed a court order issued by a devout Christian who himself was opposed to SSM but not the rights of the law of the land. Why don't her supporters pay for her legal fees? Perhaps because she lost and has a lesser value for photo ops?

Christians fail miserably to comprehend one vital rule of life: sensational stories like these involving Christians going to jail for upholding their personal beliefs in the face of law--these sensational stories have a "shelf life". They "have legs" (to coin reporter lingo) for a very short period. Then when all the hoopla dies out and the story disappears from the headlines nobody cares about people like Kim Davis. Ask anyone today who Kim Davis is and they'll say, "Who?".
These Christian nuts believe Jesus will descend to miraculously drop from the sky to bail them out of their predicaments and Jesus isn't going to do squat. They learn the hard way that when they pray nobody is listening except them, and a year later they're still in the situation they prayed for God to get them out of unless they pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and found a way out by themselves. Such is the "power" of prayer.
Unfortunately, if she starts one of those Go Fund Me pages, there are probably enough Fundies that will contribute to make it appear that prayers will be answered.

It would not be advisable to start a GoFundMe campaign to pay her legal bills. Among those things that are prohibited by GoFondMe is this entry:
"campaigns we deem, in our sole discretion, to be in support of, or for the legal defense of alleged crimes associated with hate, violence, harassment, bullying, discrimination, terrorism, or intolerance of any kind relating to race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, sex, gender or gender identity, or serious disabilities or diseases;"
It looks like her defense costs would clearly violate their Terms Of Service. They have closed down campaigns that violated this provision.
