In the interests of having a little friendly chatter instead of a heated disagreement about some religious issue I'm just wondering how you're going to spend your Sunday.
Of course I start everyday by checking the internet but my day is just going to be working around the house. I painted part of the living room yesterday and after I had gotten about a third of the way done I realized that the color I picked is the ugliest most grotesque shade of yellow I've ever seen and I just can't live with that color. If only June were here to help me pick a color. I've done this same thing many times in other houses I've painted. So I'll be venturing out to Home Depot and returning with a bunch of those little paint samples and try again. Then I have the pleasure of mowing my lawn which is so steep in the back yard that you're barely able to keep the mower from sliding sideways and it's so big you can't mow it on a single tank of gas. I hope your day will be more pleasant. What is everybody else up to today?

My dear, sweet man:

Get out that new camera of yours, photograph the room, and email June the picture. That way she can tell you, and/or advise you as regards that paint color dilemma!

--Oh, and when you're done painting your living room, could you come up here and help me paint mine?

Love,
-June

Well , Montana..I have been up since about 6:30..Had coffee with one of my daughters who works night shift and who often stops by on her way home..I have fixex pancakes, link sausage and eggs for two grandchildren who are here for the weekend..Of course I checked the forums to see if I missed anything overnight..Speaking of painting, I have two HUGE bedrooms to do (just because they said I shouldn't do that anymore)So later today I will be removing nails and screws from the walls and filling holes..

I am up early today (well usually up early anyways to go skiing on the weekends) to go for a long bike ride. It should be fun, it is a beautiful day.

To be honest it is not that long - will only be abut 10-12 miles mountain biking

I think the paint color is one I can relate to. I am somewhat color blind thus my wife is in charge of all colors and many days in charge of what I wear to work so as not to have people at work think she is not watching out for me or letting me cross the geek line too far. A few years back she was painting the bath in our home, and as is normal she asked the colorblind one how it looked. I gave her the answer I knew she wanted and went on feeling good I was at least asked. She later stopped and looked at the six foot by six foot wall in a bright pink color thinking it just did not look right. (This is a normal process if I say anything is a nice color). It was what most people would call a bright (almost day glow) pink. She decided to go ahead and finish the room. It glowed as a new sun would. Later that day she had one of our neighbors over with her designer daughter and told her she was just not sure what to do, but it just did not look right. The designer stood there and said nothing, than sighed and asked “What were you thinking?” It was repainted that afternoon in something close to what it had been.
My day I hope will be spent in the yard, or walking the dog. It may be spent in the local stores playing free cell on my phone. We men never know till we are told LOL.

Montana, I hope you get your paint color dilemma worked out and find something that you like.

As for my Sunday plans, we'll be going to church this morning as we always do. Then we'll come home and have some lunch. We'll be taking a drive this afternoon down to the nearest Asian market (we live in a small town, so we have to drive at least an hour to get to anything having to do with civilization, lol). We'll shop there for a while (have to get some ingredients for some Korean recipes I want to try) and then go to a Korean restaurant for dinner....yum, yum. Hubby's bday was on Wednesday and this is what we're doing to celebrate.

Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!

I went to home depot looked at some colors and bought just a quart of one I thought looked good. I came home and painted a wall and a half and it actually was a good choice. Now I just have to go back and buy a couple more gallons. Now it's cold and raining here after yesterday was so beautiful so I won't be doing any lawnmowing afterall.

Painting walls is Zen-like. Very calming. Mowing the grass? Not so much.

What color are you painting the living room?

Woke up too early, then woke up the little woman, talked her into a little Yoga session, organized the front yard for some guests that will be arriving soon, straightened up the studio to get ready for band practice this afternoon, checked the family on CD and ready for some still time before guests arrive, if the kids will take a break from playing rockband
on <~11~>.....

Peace to all on this beautiful Sonday.

godspeed,

freedom
