Some philosophers view the concept of truth as basic, and unable to be explained in any terms that are more easily understood than the concept of truth itself.
This is a quote from Wikipedia. If you were to search the Upanishads, it says the very same thing about Super Conciousness, or the Self. The Upanishad are the texts found at the end of each Veda. They do not deal with worship or rituals or dharma or even God. They are a collection of philosophical debates, among unknown two, about the nature of self, Conciousness, a self and Super Self, whatever you call it. Atma and Paramatma. This Self is the Truth because there is nothing outside of it. Truth always is, everything else dies.
This is Advaita philosophy - there is no two.
I was struck by this because we have been discussing Truth so much lately. Does this strike a chord with you, and if so, why?

Got that right.
Why do I know this, from direct personal experience...another
way I could say it - I've been shown this Truth.
(But ya gotta understand things like this are revealed when ya meditate for 46 years and sit
3-6 hours in stillness and silence.) That's why I seem 'un-normal" to many here!

Truth is Brahmam
Yes Brahma was born inside a flower on The Tree of Eternal Life 'which is at the centre of God's realm & which extends its branches throughout all creation. The Tree of Eternal Life grows Eternal Souls on its branches, '& It extends a branch into every human temple '& opens a crescent flower inside their temple, '& their own eternal soul comes out of the branch into the flower '& witnesses the earth world through the senses of the human temple, while the flower holds the soul securely with its crescent flower inside each person's temple. That is the truth about Brahmas Self & everybody's Eternal Self.

If you get to know your own self you will find God is already there with you.

I dunno if anyone cares to show atheists anything regarding God...unless they are young, enthusiastic and
haven't learned their lessons yet.... trampling dogs and all.

I just looked this up: Lord Brahma is four faced, and depicted as having four hands.
His four faces represents the four Vedas and the four hands represent four directions.
His four hands are shown holding a variety of objects such as Rosary, a water pot, a book
( the Vedas ), a sceptre / spoon, a Lotus.

I guess that's in some pictures, not this one. We got 3 outta 4. Oh, I see the beads and Lotus are in one hand...
I would not say Rosary, btw, but Wikipedia is not perfect.

It was a bit of a surprise to see Oceans of it posting a Hindu picture after all the Christian ones. It rather reinforced the idea that all these representations of gods (and indeed demigods) aren't in any way intended to be taken literally but are pictorial representations of Attributes of the various gods. The god itself seems rather to be taken as formless, invisible, everywhere (if not everything) and all powerful. In fact once you begin to realise they are all the same god, with different names, one begins to abandon adherence to the divisiveness of various religions and are moving towards a non -religious god.

I am working on the meditation. My brain usually wont shut up. Yesterday I saw tiny stars which means I may be forgetting to breathe. I want to learn this, but even if all I get is a more even keeled through my day, that will be worth it.
