No it would be reality. Life has its ups and down. We see evidence for that every day. On the other hand, we see no evidence for karma or reincarnation. So we should disbelieve in those concepts pending demonstrable evidence. Don’t hold your breath...

Do believe only in a present-life version of karma, or do you also believe in karma as related to reincarnation?
I believe in the cause-and-effect version of karma during the current life.
I remain open-minded -- but not very -- about it extending over multiple lives, which I am not totally convinced occurs anyway.
