I didn't know there was an atheist definition of spirituality. Source?
This thread was started in the Christianity forum, and moved to Religion and Spirituality forum because it was an error and didn't relate to Christianity. Neither does it relate to Atheism or Agnosticism. Since Spirituality is the second half of the purpose for this forum, it belongs here.
I can get what jonesy may mean. Either spirituality relates to something that has been verified. Human society, artistic aspiration or ethics.
Or it relates to god -beliefs.
Atheism can have a take (if not a definition) on anything of that kind and would not see a need to pop a god in there. It's why we are atheists.
It was part of God's plan for this to be in this forum. And if it gets moved it will have been part of God's plan for it to be moved to the Space forum.

Yep, It's like fate; whatever you get - that was your Fate.
This is as spiritual as your cup of coffee or your car. It has zero spiritual elements whatsoever. It should be in the materialistic places like the atheists cave, & not the spiritual section.
I saw threads like this in the archives. The OP posts a picture of a beautiful woman & the thread is called something like "There must be a God after all"

Well, it's going to stay where it is. Maybe you aren't aware of it, but the Atheism and Agnosticism forum is a sub-forum of the Religion and Spirituality forum. Religion and Spirituality is what we do here, and that is all we do.

actually thats not totally true. looking back from where that those things are kinda sheds some light on the reliability of god/anti-god claims. They put us on a path of what might that thing actually be?
It reminds me of Johnny Cash's last song. He had zero feeling left in his life so he had to hurt himself to feel something. The grossest thing of all (pain) was good in his eyes because it was better than a hollow empty soul which is what he had become.
The earth is a living hell for millions of people. They are burning coronavirus patients alive apparently. There's nothing spiritual about the earth. Nothing.

Kinda reminds me when the doctor said we have to break that bone so you can walk normal again.
The most hated person is the one telling the truth. They get hit from both sides.
Nice poem. But unfortunately Carl Sagan was way off the mark in his philosophy. A scientific intellectual with no real sense of wisdom, sadly. Sad because I respected him otherwise. He should never have tried to comment on religion.
