Has anyone else heard agape described as "tough love"?
I think tough love can = true love when you need to exhort or discipline someone to keep them from harming you, themselves, or others. I also heard a good pastor teach about this.

When you cannot defend nonsense, attack with more nonsense. It is a waste of time to take you seriously and engage with you.
When you cannot rebut using explanations of your reasons why you disagree, just dismiss and walk away proclaiming victory. You must be younger and less experienced than I initially thought. When you have achieved more in your meditation we will talk again.

it means nothing if it is not put into action,
just empty words
or worse than nothing, used as a weapon to beat people over the head with it,
used to denigrate others as is seen so frequently in posts
which is perhaps what this thread topic is referring to
