Lots of different ideas about this one.

Some people see "the light". Other people don't see anything. They blackout and wake up in the hospital without remembering anything. There are others who see darkness and weird stuff and describe it as a version of "hell".

Science says the brain is still active even 20 minutes after you are pronounced dead.

Are there any case studies of a person who died for like 40-60 minutes then came back to life? Meaning they came back to life after the time limit expired for the brain to have any possible activity?

I think people use the afterlife as a source of comfort that life continues and they will see their loved ones. The thought that dying is the end. You will just die and that's it is a thought many people can't comprehend.

There's also the idea of reincarnation where your "energy" will be transferred to another living thing and you start a new life from that living thing.

Obviously we don't know the answer.

We only have faith and hope to comfort us.

Some people use faith and hope to believe that there is an after life, others use faith and hope to believe that there is no after life.

Both school of thoughts have a potential impact on how do we live our current lives?

If there is an afterlife you've probably always existed, and will probably continue on in one form of energy or another.

I have answer, OP.
When time comes, you will find out.
Otherwise, it is everyone's guess. That's the thing about death - no one knows.

It is matter of choice, not proof.

Since we can NOT measure the energy of our consciousness, how can we know that something exists that can transform the energy of our consciousness to something else? If there is nothing that can do that, our consciousness can NOT be transformed like the rest of the energy that makes up our physical body so it will continue to exist after our physical death.

Are you agreeing with me, or what?

This is about one of the most illogical conclusions I have seen.

Let me ask you this. There is nothing that can measure time. As you well understand, clocks and similar devices do NOT actually measure time.
Yet, time is considered a physical value. According to your logic, lack of ruler somehow makes something non existing? Or, voids it of its characteristics?

At least, we agree, that consciousness is. Simple fact. What is, can be in various forms? Manifestations?

The body is mortal, but the soul is immortal.
So the answer is yes, there is definitely an afterlife.

Go to a church who has the evidence of Holy Spirit, and ask them to help you get the baptism of Holy Spirit ............. See no one goes to Heaven without the Holy Spirit ..... So if you go to one church, and they say no then move on the next church till you find one that does and then go there ....
