Now we're getting into politics, but if that's your standard, then you should realize the other side has just as many bad judgments and mistakes, if not more.
Could you name a couple on the Other side? Since I don't know what the Side is nor who you see on it as 'just as bad'.

Oh, and you can save Mao and Pol Pot, as they had Faith in the essential Rightness of the Dogma and anything to push it was justified. I see that as a 'Same side' as Fundamentalist Christianity, even if they had an atheistic dogma.

And I'm saying both sides have done the thing you're criticizing him for. But that doesn't discredit him any more than it does those that you look up to.
