Good point.

Also studies have shown that newborns are not actually "self aware" as we typically use the term, but they certainly do make their existence known.

Don't know. Maybe never, maybe in a few decades.

Regardless, these questions don't occupy much of my time. I'd rather focus on practical matters and what I can know.

that is not "nitpicking." it is stating the obvious.
If stating the obvious why does it need to be stated? Not everyone is ever unconscious or iin a coma. And obviously as we can be woken from a deep sleep by being shaken or a fire alarm we are conscious. ☺

We are conflating existing with manifesting within our physical Reality. They are not the same thing.
