The first question is the hardest to answer, upon conception or birth or as TroutDude says upon becoming self aware. As soon as I'm brain dead I will cease to exist except in the memories of others.
but a person does not "cease to exist" when they are in a deep sleep. or when they are unconscious. or when they are in a coma.
Physically, no. However, there is a gap in your mental existence in those states. You aren't thinking of anything, nor forming additional memories. If you never come out of a coma, and eventually die, it is virtually the same thing as ceasing to exist when the coma starts.
So for practical purposes, Trout's position is defensible.
However your claim is you existed long before the dinosaurs and will still exist when our Sun finally burns up and yet you nitpick some one else
i am simply making the observation that a person does not "cease to exist" when they go to sleep or are unconscious.
that is not "nitpicking." it is stating the obvious.
There is no specific beginning, but it was after 1980. I developed as a conscious entity, but there was no specific point in time.
