That sounds like duality to me again. I get the way we think of ourselves is an illusion but the mind and the body are part of who I am at this moment be it transient or not. To label those notions are "wrongful" is part of the problem IMO.

So I was trying to think of some things I'm not. I am not my thoughts. I am not my actions.
Interesting. Why not?

stating the divine is only good means the observer is not seeing. Saying the divine is defined by evil is what exactly?
I think you are correct. That's the part I'm still trying to work out.

For the same reasons I'm not my thoughts. It's mostly programming. It's mostly reactions.

yeah, I know, nobody is this, nobody sees that, anybody that says anything certain is the other thing. Science deals in uncertainty and doubt. It aint perfect but its the best we have. Those that need to avoid it are hiding something or deceiving people.

Plain and simple.

that's what jesus meant by the way is through me.

Unless we exert control mindfully thoughts are constant, it is like breathing. Except in deep sleep we always have thought, both when awake and in dream. Dreaming we are superman does not make us one.
Actions do not happen unless we act. Actions are not us, first of all they are verbs, not nouns. But we most certainly own the consequences of our acts, and we are always in control of our actions, and inaction. I am not sure what that means to say you are not your actions.

Kinky. I think the observer or the narrator is a step in the right direction.

i was thinking more like person A sees a "bum in the gutter," person B sees them as "someone with dignity radiating light." with regards to earlier comment made that those who only see good are not seeing.

and some see both of those as binary thinkers.

but either way, you didn't address the actual point.

In the past 2 days you've written a number of posts where you tell us what atheists see.
