I have to agree that some people who claim to be like God, often sound like an insane recording on an endless loop.
Do they really believe their own nonsense?

I don't really have an academic mind and I never noticed it before, especially as I just read snippets at a time. But...I can see why some are saying it now that I've looked into it more.

However, that isn't God itself. That is from a man-made Bible from a long long time ago where cultural norms were different.

I stand by my position that growing up my fellow Christians made me feel empowered, like I could do great things even though I am a five feet two inch girl.

Is the God of the Bible misogynistic?
Richard Dawkins:

“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”

I'm in the US so I'd say for the most part outside of extremism we treat women equally.
