Fundamentalist atheists, like you, are exactly the same as fundamentalist theists - rigidly narrow-minded and lacking imagination that borders on the obsessive-compulsive.
Your imagination, IMHO, has run away with you - totally!
We are not so afraid of mortality, of life ending at some point, that we swallow a Fairy Tail like religion (of any flavor). We accept that life is short and make the most of it, unshackled from the falsity of religion's lie of eternal life of any sort.
I am just pointing to atheists and theists that they have nothing to fight about. Physics, a branch of science, is the study of things that you can suck and see. Scientists have no knowledge of anything they can't suck and see. Get it?
It seems to me that your definition of god is open-ended and fluid to the point of meaning everything, and, at the same time, nothing.
My definition just applies to the EXISTENCE of God to remove that asinine demand from atheists for proof of God. All the other BELIEFS ABOUT God in religious dogma are still fair game, but the asinine EXISTENCE nonsense is removed from the debate. No matter whether or not you are atheist, agnostic, or a believer, whatever you believe IS a BELIEF, period. There is no and cannot BE any scientific answer that picks one as the default for everyone.
Quite right. The converse is true too, as in trying to answer science, engineering or astronomy questions using emotions or spirituality.
You need to get things straight. While science (physics) has nothing to do with metaphysics, spiritualists have every right to expound on their perceptions of reality that encompasses everything in their lives. Theirs is not a shared reality.
For example, women have their own worldview. If you are not a woman, you have no business arguing with them about how to put on their underwear.
I had a biology teacher in HS that was able to weave Genesis into Darwin's theory of evolution using "what if...".
What if...1 day was really 10,000 (or X) years and that allows Genesis and Darwin's theory to coexist side by side.
And this was a Catholic HS back in the 70's and the teacher was a nun. I still remember that because that's when I truly learned about taking something literally vs figuratively...a lesson never forgotten.
Oh yea. I get these types of questions all the time. I say "Maybe your did it through through evolution?" I can't tell you how many people say to me "We can think that?"

Spiritualists are not afraid of death. What they reject is your materialistic worldview that they will also die like pigs and dogs. They see themselves as custodians of mortal bodies while you accept that you are the body itself and nothing more than just a pig or dog.

Atheist are just like theist. We believe in all sorts of things from the feeling of "awe" freaking us out, reincarnation, and up to a cosmic mind.
Its important that we realize that although there are no sects in atheism, the term fits.
You sure have a different brand of atheism than I, or any atheist I know, has had.
